CAROLINA ROSSEL - FLORIDA

BIO

My name is Carolina Rossel.  I am 27 years old.  When I was a little girl, I started swimming and competing,  I received a lot of medals from different events, like freestyle and butterfly.

When I graduated from high school, I did Project Search with the city of Miami, giving me my first job at the Port of Miami.

In 2019, I started The Embrace Program at Florida International University in Miami, Florida, and graduated in 2022.

After many years of swimming, I had the opportunity to try artistic swimming in 2021.  I really like music and dancing, so this was the perfect sport for me.  I enjoy having a great team, and most of all, the best coach ever, Isis Sanchez.  I love to travel with my team to compete and spending time with my teammates away from home.  The best was when we went to Portugal to participate in the World Down Syndrome Swimming and Artistic Swimming Championships.

At this time, I am working part time at Baptist Hospital in Miami, Florida, bringing food trays to patients,  I really like my job.

In the future, I would like to move to and apartment and live independently.
