Since its creation in 2002, USA has proudly competed at Down Syndrome International Swimming Organisation (DSISO) world championships. As the National Sports Organization, USADSS selects the USA Down Syndrome National Swimming Team for regional and world championships.
2021 Ferrara, ITALY: 1st Open European Tri-Games Championship One athlete represented the United States at the 2021Open European Tri-Games Championship. Strict qualifying times and Covid Protocols were in place, and no spectators were allowed. A total of 15 Countries participated including 87 swimmers. 2019 Olbia, ITALY: 5th Open European Down Syndrome Swimming Championship Nine athletes represented the United States at the 2019 Open European Down Syndrome Swimming Championship in Olbia, Italy.
