2026 World Down Syndrome Swim Championships

The USADSS will coordinate a National Team to attend the World Championships in Portugal this October.

Team qualification standards will require athletes the following:

• be currently registered with USADSS

• approved application with SU-DS (Sports Union for Down Syndrome)

• has DSISO Member #

• has achieved three DSISO “A” cut times (SCM or SCY) within the qualifying period of September 1, 2025 through August 3, 2026. Long Course Meter (LCM) times may also be submitted for consideration, review and confirmation by the Aquatics Council.

Pending DSISO approval, late qualification opportunities may be permitted for times achieved between August 3, 2026 and August 10, 2026.

Additional details will be shared following NSO meetings with DSISO scheduled for late May.
