USADSS will host a dual sanctioned, Short Course Meters (SCM), meet on
FEBRUARY 26, 2022 at the Rosen Aquatic Center in Orlando Florida. THANK YOU FLORIDA SWIMMING AND FLORIDA MASTERS!

The meet is open to USA Swimmers and US Masters swimmers.

Saturday, February 26, Session 1: Warm-up 7:30 AM, Start 8:30 AM
Saturday, February 26, Session 2: Warm-up 12:00 PM, Start 1:00 PM

POOL SPECIFICATIONS
Indoor 8 non-turbulent lane lines 25-meter course. The length of the competition course without a bulkhead is in compliance with and on file with USMS in accordance with articles 105.1.7 and 107.2.1 and with USA Swimming in accordance with 104.2.2C(4). Warm up lanes will be available in the adjacent 25-yard course during the meet.

TIMING EQUIPMENT
Colorado Electronic timing system will be used with touch pads on both ends, with computer scoring and score board.

WARM-UP
Saturday, February 26, at 7:30 AM and 12:00 PM
Warm-up and cool down available during the meet in the adjacent 25-yard pool.

ELIGIBILITY
--Open to all currently registered USA Swimming and
--Open to all currently registered US Masters swimmers
--On deck registration will be allowed. The 2022 USA-S form and fee must be presented to the Referee.

ENTRY LIMIT
--5 individual events for the meet, plus relay events
--Entries that exceed the entry limit(s) will automatically be dropped when they exceed the limit for the day
--No limit on relay teams, please designate as A, B, C, etc.

SEEDING
--Times will be seeded using Short Course meters times.
--No conversions by meet management.
--Conversions, using the formula in the current Florida Swimming Handbook may be used, for entry and seeding purposes.
--All events will be swum slowest to fastest.

SCRATCH PENALTY: No penalty for scratching on the block.

ENTRIES
--USA and USMS Swimmers are encouraged to enter this meet online on Club Assistant, which includes live USA and USMS member verification, event entry form, waiver, and confirmation email. Swimmers will enter relays at
the meet. Relay cards will be available at the Clerk of Course desk.
--Online entries are accepted with credit card payment. Please note that your credit card charge will appear as: “USA DS SWIMMING INC."

DECK ENTRIES
--Deck entries may be accepted by the Meet Referee or his/her designee, up to 45 minutes before the start of the session under the following conditions:
• Swimmers must meet all other standard requirements of the meet
• Entry & meet fees must be paid at time of entry ($60.00) A swimmer may not scratch an event to deck enter an event.
• A swimmer may only deck enter an event that has an existing empty lane, no new heats will be established.

ENTRY FEE
--The meet entry fee for the one-day event is $45.00
--Deck Entry fee will be $60.00
--Online entries are accepted with credit card payment.

SCORING There will be no scoring of individual or relay events.

AWARDS Each swimmer will receive a raffle ticket for each event swam. Those tickets can then be used to enter drawing for several “Gift Baskets” to be drawn at the end of the meet.

TEAM REPRESENTATIVE
Prior to the start of the meet, the name of one person other than the coach, who will check with the referee about any matter pertaining to the meet, may be given to the referee. For each team, the coach and that person only
will be recognized.

IDENTIFICATION
Coaches and Officials shall always wear their USA Swimming registration card in a conspicuous location while on deck during a swim meet or prove current coach membership on Deck Pass.

CAMERA ZONES
Per Florida Swimming Rule 223.13, Meet Management shall designate and inform the public of “Camera Zones” at each swim meet where both still photography and video photography of a race or a competitor in a race may be taken. Acceptable “Camera Zones” may include but are not limited to the side courses of a pool, team gathering areas, concession area, turn-end of competition course when not in use as a “start-end,” etc. Meet Management shall also designate “Non-Camera Zones.” Under NO circumstances will Camera Zones include the area immediately behind the starting blocks at either end of the racing course(s) while they are in use for “race starting purposes” during competition and warm-ups, locker rooms, restrooms, or any other dressing area. Any individual failing to abide by this rule could be subject to the Florida Swimming Code of Conduct violation as defined in Rule 239.2.
