BIO

Katya started swimming at the age of 2 and competing in swimming at 6. She has many Hobbies and activities: Singing, Dancing, Piano, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Cheerleading, Diving.

In 2023 Katya was able to win the Gold Medals in 2 kilometers in 6 steps of OceanMan - World Cup and Championships series:

1. Salvador, Brazil, April 1, Gold at 2 K,

2. Cartagena, Colombia, April 22, Gold 2 K,

3. Cattolica, Italy, May 27, Gold 2 K,

4. Lake D'Orta, Italy, June 17 , Gold 2 K,

5. Lake Woerthersee, Austria, September 2-3, Two Golds in 1.5 and 0.5 K,

6. Gold at World Championships Final, Phuket, Thailand, December 3d. 

This was possible with travel planning around major World Down Syndrome swimming events:

1. 2023 DSISO PanAmerican Tri21 Games, March 22-27, Buenos Aires, Argentina. 3 Silvers and 2 Bronze Medals

2. Katya traveled to Virtus Global Games with the US National team in May in Vichy, France. Gold and Silver Medals.

3. She went to represent the USA at the European Open in September in Padova, Italy-1 Gold, 2 Bronze medals.

US National AWL Championships – 9 Gold, 2 Silver

2019 – INAS Global Games, Australia.– 2 Silver medals and 2 DSISO Junior World records.
Open DSISO European Championships, Italy – 1 Silver, 1 Bronze medal and 3 DSISO Junior World records.
2021 Open European Games, Italy - 2 Silver, 1 Bronze medal and 5 DSISO Senior World records.
2021 US Masters National Champion, 200 FLY.
2021 US Paralympic Champion.

2021-2022 OceanMan World Cup and Championships series. 6 Gold Medals.

2022 - Gold and Silver Medals at Pan American Masters Championships, Medellin, Colombia, July 21-28,

2022 - DSISO World Championships October 17-22, Albufeira, Portugal - 1 Gold, 3 Silver and 1 Bronze medals.

Katya has achieved 22 life career DSISO World junior and senior records 2018-2023 so far.
